So it's the holiday season. Let’s cozy up with some mulled wine. Light a fire, play some jazz and throw some spices and wine in a pot, and embrace the holiday season. It’s that simple.
Mulled Wine

Ingredients
Yield: 4

1 bottle dry red wine

2 cinnamon sticks

1 large orange, sliced in rounds

2 star anise

2 cardamon pods, slightly crushed

8 whole cloves

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

2 tsp Maple syrup (or any sweetener of choice)

Optional: 1/4 cup brandy
Instructions

Place all ingredients in a pot and stir to combine

Turn on heat to medium and cook wine until slightly boiling. Do not let it bubble to prevent the alcohol from evaporating

Turn down to low and simmer for at least 15 min and up to 2 hours.

Strain wine and serve warm in a heat proof mug. Top with your favorite garnish.
